Ben's Goodbye (17:24)
|
2021 Steelers 26 vs Browns 14 MNF
An emotional, almost storybook ending in a playoff atmosphere as Ben Roethlisberger plays his last-ever game at Heinz Field. How fitting that Ben's final win in Pittsburgh comes against a team he has dominated like no other, the Cleveland Browns.
Ben improves his all-time record vs. Cleveland to an eye-popping 26-3-1, and while it's not pretty, in typical Big Ben fashion, he finds a way to win. TJ Watt is spectacular, tallying 4 of Pittsburgh's 9 sacks, and Najee Harris powers for 188 yds on 28 carries, including a thrilling breakaway 37 yard score to seal the game in the final minute.
The win keeps the Steelers alive for a playoff berth. But this night is all about Roethlisberger, who is showered with love by Steelers fans from the moment he takes the field, to taking a knee in victory formation, to his emotional farewell victory lap with the fans, to his final wave goodbye as he heads into the tunnel with his wife and three children.
Thank you, Ben. I have enjoyed every single moment that you've been on the field as a Steeler. It has been a joy to watch you play the game the way it was meant to be played. You have brought tremendous honor to Steeler Nation and the city of Pittsburgh. Your Gold Jacket awaits. I can't wait to see you enshrined in Canton.
