1992 Steelers 9 at Browns 17

A game filled with missed opportunities for the Steelers, who move the ball but can't get it into the end zone. Pittsburgh leads 6-3 at the end of the first half, but the score could easily be 20-3 if not for mistakes. Carnell Lake drops an INT with a clear path to the end zone, a TD pass to Stone is overturned by a holding penalty and a 31-yd Anderson FG attempt bounces off the left upright.

The Browns make Pittsburgh pay in the 2nd half after a 90-yd drive capped by a Kevin Mack TD puts Cleveland up 10-6. Anderson hits a FG to make it 10-9, but Tomczak strikes right back with a bomb to a WIDE open Michael Jackson for a 47-yd TD to make it 17-9. On the ensuing drive, Cowher goes for it on 4th & 1 at the Steeler 40, but Barry Foster is stuffed for no gain. A late Merrill Hoge fumble finally seals Pittsburgh's fate.
