1987 Steelers 13 vs Browns 19

Despite a 45-yd pick-6 by rookie DB Cornell Gowdy to pull Pittsburgh within 19-13 with 7:33 left, the Browns -- who have possession of the ball for all but 21 seconds of the 4th quarter -- run out the clock with a 15-play drive to win the division and eliminate the Steelers from the playoffs. The game is filled with scuffles and yellow flags (the Steelers suffer 11 penalties for 90 yds), none bigger than the personal foul and ejection of Delton Hall to set up Cleveland's final TD. After stopping Cleveland at the Steeler 7 to force a FG try, the dead ball foul on Hall gives the Browns a first down inside the 5, and Byner scores two plays later. Mark Malone is booed by the home crowd from the outset and this marks his final game in Pittsburgh, granting the wish of banners all over the stadium calling for his ouster.
