Special teams fair even worse, as a Dwight Stone 100-yd kickoff return for a TD is overturned by a penalty, scab punter John Bruno has a punt blocked for a Rams TD and the always horrific David Trout (really, we brought this guy back???) predictably misses a chip-shot FG. Not to be outdone, the Steeler defense allows what should've been an INT on a flea-flicker turn into a 51-yd pass play to set up a Rams TD, then allows Charles White to turn a short run up the middle that appears to be stuffed into a 58-yd breakaway to set up another TD. |
