1983 Steelers 17 vs Oilers 10
Cliff Stoudt, booed relentlessly by the home crowd in the midst of a terrible game vs. the winless Oilers, finally comes up big late in the 4th quarter. Finding no one open, Stoudt rolls right and throws on the run, finding Walter Abercrombie streaking down the sideline behind coverage for a 51-yd TD bomb to give the Steelers a 14-10 lead. Three plays later, Mel Blount makes a spectacular leaping interception (wiping out the receiver in the process), setting up a short Steelers FG to seal the deal. The hapless Oilers, despite outgaining the Steelers 270-225, fall to 0-5. This game is final matchup between Franco Harris and Earl Campbell.
