1980 Steelers vs Packers

Bradshaw vs. Bart Starr! Well, sort of. Starr is head coach of the Packers. Green Bay’s disastrous long snapping proves to be the difference in a sloppy, field-position game. On the Packers’ first possession, a high snap sails over the punter’s head and out of the end zone for a safety. Early in the 2nd quarter, another high snap sets up the Steelers at the Green Bay 24. Bradshaw immediately hits Lynn Swann for a TD, but Gerry Ellis turns a short Lynn Dickey pass into a 69-yd score, giving the Packers a 14-9 lead.
After halftime, the Steelers secondary tightens. Mel Blount, Donnie Shell, and J.T. Thomas each snag INTs and Matt Bahr tacks on two short FGs for a 15-14 lead. Following a terrible Green Bay punt in the 4th, Bradshaw leans on Rocky Bleier for 42 of Pittsburgh's 49 yads on the drive, including a 4-yd TD toss to Bleier to build some breathing room. Green Bay adds a TD in the closing seconds, but it's too little, too late as the injury-depleted Steelers snap a 3-game skid.
